The Fernco P44U-405 Cast Iron Hub Donut is a flexible compression ring designed to connect 4-inch service weight cast iron pipe to the plain end of 4-inch PVC Schedule 40 plastic pipe. This donut-shaped fitting creates a strong, lasting joint for sewer pipe and DWV (drain-waste-vent) connections, including sockets, hubs, bells and spigots.

The removable design means the donut can be taken out without damaging surrounding pipe, making repairs and inspections easier. As a lead-free, UV-resistant fitting rated for underground installation, this connector performs reliably when buried in below-grade applications and resists corrosion over time.

Features and Benefits

  • Flexible Compression Design: Creates a strong, lasting joint between cast iron hub and PVC pipe plain end.
  • Lead-Free: Eliminates contamination risks from older lead-based fittings.
  • UV Resistant: Protects the connector from sun damage.
  • Underground Rated: Performs reliably when buried in sewer and drain applications.
  • Removable: Can be taken out without damaging surrounding pipe.
  • Corrosion Resistant: Maintains integrity over time in underground installations.
